Homeopathy is a holistic therapy that treats the whole person – it takes into account the nature of the person and recognizes people who are diagnosed with the same illness/ailment/affliction and become ill “out of balance” – do so in different ways and require individualised treatment to make them well again

Many people turn to Homeopathy because of their concerns with orthodox medicine and the many side effects associated with taking drugs which can be very toxic for “susceptible” people.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Homeopathy is an energy medicine with little or no material dose in the remedies.  It works on the premise that “like cures like”,  and was developed by a German Doctor and Chemist, Samuel Hahnemann over 200 years ago.

The” like cures like” law states that a substance that can cause dis-ease can also relieve it. For example, we all know that chopping onions can cause our nose and eyes to run and there is copious amounts of water.  The onion – Allium cepa used as a homeopathic remedy helps alleviate symptoms of this nature which we may experience when we have a cold or are suffering from hayfever.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

The initial consultation with the Homeopath will last approximately 1-1 1/2   hours, with follow up consultations taking approximately 30 to 45 minutes.  The Homeopath will need to get a full understanding of your condition: how it affects you physically, mentally and emotionally and will also need to ask you about your past medical history and will also ask you questions about your likes/dislikes; as this helps identify the correct remedy for you.

Patients can often feel a sense of wellbeing, soon after taking a remedy.  The speed of this will be determined by how chronic and long standing the condition is and on the patient’s vitality. Some patients will make steady progress – others it will be quite dramatic.

Homeopathic remedies are usually supplied in tablet, or liquid form.  They are included in the price of the consultation

We will be running Homeopathic First Aid Courses at this Centre

(Duration 6/7 weeks – 2 hour sessions/week)

The Course will explain how, with the help of a Homeopathic First Aid Kit you can treat you and your family at home safely with homeopathic remedies, to help alleviate symptoms such as sickness/diarrheoa, fevers, ear-ache, sore throats and speed recovery of injuries such as bruising, sprains to name but a few.

Homeopathy works well alongside conventional medicines and is safe, non-toxic and non addictive.  As your condition improves you may wish to reduce your conventional medication. However, always consult your GP before making changes to your conventional medicine.
